Condolence book for New York tragedy

Prime Minister Helen Clark has placed a condolence book for victims of the terrorist attacks in the United States at Parliament.

"New Zealanders have been deeply shaken by the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania last week.

"The condolence book at Parliament provides an opportunity for people to express their regrets to the victim of these horrendous attacks.

"The thoughts of all New Zealanders are with President Bush, the people of the United States, and all those affected by the tragic events of last week."

The book has been placed in the first floor main foyer at Parliament Buildings.
