Regional Plan for Northland >>   Positioned at the top of Northland, stretching from Cape Reinga to Towai with the northernmost town being Kaitaia, the Far North has a resident population of 53, 000, of which 54% are Maori and 55% are living in areas of poverty and social deprivation. For local authority purposes it also includes the Mid-North. The Mid-North boundary covers the Hokianga, Bay of Islands and ending at Towai. The region has a mix of socio-economic and ethnic groups and a diverse labour market. View as PDF file Regional Plan for Auckland Central >>   The Auckland Central region’s geographical area covers the narrow Auckland isthmus between two harbours, the Waitemata to the east, and the Manukau to the west. It encompasses the Gulf Islands of Waiheke and Great Barrier, the central suburbs of Ponsonby and Mt Eden and into the city’s central business district. Its boundaries move west to Mt Albert, Pt Chevalier, Onehunga and Three Kings/Mt Roskill and also out to the eastern suburbs of Panmure, Glen Innes and Highland Park, covering the Howick and Pakuranga areas. It is one of 13 Department of Work and Income regions and one of three in the Auckland metropolitan area.
